Music
Artarmon
enjoys a proud tradition of music. A wide range of musical
experiences are provided in class through the Release from Face to
Face (RFF) sessions. All children in Year 3 learn to read music and
play the recorder.
The
school offers an excellent band program. Children can join the band
program from Year 4. Tutoring during school hours is available.
There are four bands – Concert Bands 1 and 2, a training band and a
jazz band. We are proud of our award winning bands.
Artarmon
has a strong choral program. Children can join a choir from Year 2 and
then have the opportunity to audition for the Primary Choir (Years
3-6). The choirs have competed successfully in local eisteddfods.
The
String Group has developed excellent ensemble skills and the children
enjoy performing at special school events.
The
Guitar Group also makes beautiful music and takes pride in performing publicly.
